Responsibilities:
- Develops a partnership between behavioral health and substance use providers, community corrections, professionals, and other community support to provide wraparound services and reduce criminal recidivism.
- Works with the inmate and family to address issues related to services. Services where the family is involved must be clearly directed to meeting the identified needs of the client.
- Linking and facilitating with appropriate services and resources identified in the SUD Assessment recommendations.
- Arranging for and coordinating services upon the Assessment recommendations based upon ASAM criteria.
- Works effectively with culturally diverse groups and individuals experiencing an exacerbation of either psychiatric, substance use and/or medical symptoms, as well as experiencing a stressful situation.
- Advocating for the acquisition of services and resources necessary to implement the service recommendations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associates’ degree with a relevant major, Bachelor’s within relevant major preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Ohio Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) licensure plus a minimum of one year experience providing mental health and/or substance use counseling.
- Must have knowledge of the principles and practices of the discipline
- Must successfully complete all criminal background checks annually
- Must provide documentation of a valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of insurance which must be maintained throughout tenure in the amount of at least $50,000/$100,000/$50,000 for liability limits
- Must maintain a safe driving record with no more than 6 points on motor vehicle report (MVR)
- Must be Computer literate
