Part-Time Psychiatrist
As a Part-Time Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare.
Your key responsibilities include:
Medication Management: Provide timely medication assessments, management, and prescriptions. Clearly explain the benefits, risks, and alternatives of medications to clients, families, and staff.
Collaboration: Coordinate treatment plans with clients’ primary healthcare physicians when psychotropic medications are involved.
Supervision: Provide supervision and support to nurse practitioners employed by Chrysalis Health.
Training & Development: Offer regular training sessions to staff on psychiatric and medication management topics.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and legible client records.
Cultural Sensitivity: Deliver care to culturally diverse groups and individuals experiencing psychiatric, substance use, or medical symptoms.
Compassionate Care: Uphold a commitment to serve others with compassion, professionalism, and excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited medical school with successful completion of a psychiatric residency and child psychiatry fellowship.
Experience: Must have expertise in both Child and Adult Psychiatry.
Licensing & Certification:
• Licensed as a Medical Doctor (MD) by the Ohio State Medical Board.
• Valid NPI and DEA Provider Numbers.
• Maintain appropriate malpractice insurance.
Skills:
• Proficiency in HRIS management systems and electronic documentation.
• Additional: Bilingual skills are a plus!
Background Checks:
Must pass annual criminal background checks.
