Your Impact as an RBT
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you'll deliver individualized behavioral support services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Working directly with clients and families, you'll help create positive behavioral changes and improve overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home and community, direct ABA services under the training and supervision of a BCBA.
- mplement evidence-based behavior plans designed by the BCBA.
- Conduct behavioral assessments and therapy sessions in home, school, and community settings.
- Provide individualized support to clients, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management.
- Empower families by teaching behavior intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary CAT team to coordinate care and ensure successful outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and interventions.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development training.
- Uphold compliance with federal, state, and company standards, including reporting any client rights concerns or crisis situations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
A high school diploma is required; some college coursework in psychology is preferred. Minimum of 1-year experience providing behavioral and/or mental health counseling in an office or in-home setting.
• Current RBT certification from the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB)
• Successful completion of internship and/or formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies training related to collaborating with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related disorders, their parents, and other agencies collaborating with client.
• Experience with autism or developmental disorders preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and basic behavior analysis knowledge.
• Calmly manage challenging behaviors and adapt to client needs.
• Must successfully complete all criminal background checks annually.
• Compassionate, engaging, and have a strong desire to help others.
• Flexibility to provide services in client homes, schools, and other community settings.
• Flexible schedule to work around client availability.
• Ability to learn and document in a robust electronic medical records platform..
• Must provide documentation of a valid Florida driver’s license and proof of insurance which must be maintained throughout tenure in the amount of at least $10,000/$20,000/$10,000 for liability limits.
• Must maintain a safe driving record with no more than 6 points on motor vehicle report (MVR).
