Part-Time Youth Shelter Cook

 

Earn up to $14.50 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.

 

Are you passionate about cooking and making a difference in young lives? Avidity is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Cook to provide delicious, nutritious meals for the residents of our youth shelter. In this role, you’ll do more than cook, you’ll create a warm, welcoming environment that fosters comfort and care.

 

What You’ll Do:

· Prepare up to 18 hearty, flavorful dinners daily, with additional meals as needed.

· Get creative with varied and high-quality meal options to keep things fresh and exciting!

· Uphold top-notch infection prevention and food safety standards (food safety certification required).

· Masterfully operate kitchen equipment with safety and precision.

· Bring positive energy to the kitchen and show up ready to make a difference!

 

What We’re Looking For:

· High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of cooking experience.

· Physically capable of handling tasks like squatting, standing, reaching, and lifting.

· Commitment to completing annual training and background checks.

· Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.
