Responsibilities

  • Verifies Medicaid coverage for prospective clients.
  • Contacts parent/guardian to explain services offered.
  • Works with Intake Coordinator to initiate the assessment process for interested clients.
  • Data Entry into Microsoft Access Database and Avisena.
  • Filing referrals as needed.
  • Copying intake packets for initial assessments as needed.
  • Taking referrals over the phone from referral sources interested in services.
  • Reports on referral volume taken from database.
  • Extensive phone usage with a positive attitude and smile.
  • Presents in a professional manner in the community, in person, on telephone and in written communication including times of extreme stress and when others are upset.
  • Works effectively with culturally diverse groups and individuals experiencing an exacerbation of either psychiatric, substance use and/or medical symptoms, as well as experiencing a stressful situation.

Qualifications

  • Graduation with a high School diploma or equivalent GED; must have administrative skills with filing and computer experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year data entry experience; preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational/Time Management skills.
  • Computer literate and proficiency to Internet, online applications and email.
  • Bilingual a plus.
