Hybrid Remote Child Welfare Licensing Coordinator

***Home Visits Are Required, Administrative Duties May Be Completed Remotely

 

Part Time, Flexible Schedule

Pay: $600.00 per file

 

 

The Child Welfare Licensing Coordinator will play a critical role in our organization, responsible for performing a wide variety of supervisory activities for the foster care programs as directed by the Executive Director. This individual assumes primary responsibility for stimulating, supporting and developing a broad spectrum of the program training and re-licensing efforts for the purpose of placing children in foster homes. The Child Welfare Licensing Coordinator is responsible for acquiring documents to include home studies and licensing materials; drafting in-service training proposals and utilizing all the available tools and resources to support the Foster/Adoptive parent population. The Child Welfare Licensing Coordinator is responsible for locating, coordinating and supporting placement of children requiring foster care and supervising the day-to-day work of the family support counselors. He/she will maintain and monitor behavior management plan at the programs while also acting as a liaison for the Executive Director and foster parents. He/she will oversee and coordinate services with case managers, dependency case workers, juvenile probation officers and other team members. The Child Welfare Licensing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing crisis interventions and incident reporting procedures, monitor all program logs and documentation. He/she will participate in all interviewing, recruiting, training and providing supervision to all foster parents. This individual will be responsible for all performance evaluations, performance management and will be expected to maintain and model appropriate behavior and interactions for foster parents.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Completes all Licensing and Contracting administrative management
  • Recruit, train and oversee all foster parents 
  • All duties that are required to license foster parents
  • Completes all required paperwork and reporting within specified timeframes
  • Participates in management meetings, Program Management Meetings, Risk Prevention and Management, and Finance 
  • Must be familiar with Federal, State and Local laws and/or administrative regulations related to company operations to include, contracting, licensing and/or certification, as well as Counseling on Accreditation (COA)
  • Complies with all company wide policies and procedures, programmatic and COA policies and procedures at all times
  • Attends all mandatory meetings/Attends and carries out tasks as a result of participation in staff meetings, assigned Committees and County, State and community meetings as required.
  • Public Contact - Ability to maintain working at all times in a professional manner with the community, in person, on telephone and in written communication including times of extreme stress and when other is upset
  • Crisis Intervention - Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse individuals experiencing an exacerbation of either psychiatric, substance use and/or medical symptoms
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse groups and individuals while experiencing stressful situations
  • Ability to work cooperatively in the work environment and take direction from management with dignity, respect and with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work cordially with others in a team setting
  • Assumes a professional, helpful style in all encounters with visitors and other professionals and represent the company in a positive manner 100% of the time
  • Consistently demonstrates an understanding, supports and focuses on the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the company and program
  • Reviews and responds to electronic and hand written mail, memoranda and other correspondence and responds to community and persons served phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

 

Graduation from an accredited university with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling and a minimum of 4 years experience working with at-risk youth. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Must have knowledge of the principles and practices of the discipline.
  • Must have a State of Florida Child Welfare Certification.
  • Knowledge of child development norms.
  • Prior experience in behavior observation, intervention and assessment.
  • Computer literate and proficiency to Internet, online applications and email.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual a plus.
